Closing Day

[All of my blogs are written without the assistance of AI. I have nothing against it, I’m just weirdly proud of that.]

It’s closing day.

A day filled with variable emotions, and a bit of uncertainty.

First of all, let me start off by saying congratulations! Selling your home is no mean feat, and it’s wonderful that you’ve made it here and are that much closer to the goals you set out to achieve when you first reached out to me. This is a day you’ve probably looked forward to with equal parts anticipation and a little tinge of sadness. It’s the closing of a chapter, and depending on how long you’ve been in your home, it can understandably be an emotional experience. Adding to the feelings can be a tinge of apprehension, especially if you don’t exactly know what to expect.

Never fear!

That’s why I’m here.

Closings are usually simple affairs, and typically last about 20 minutes or so. You’ll go over the closing statements with the lawyer, and sign your name on the dotted line signifying your transfer of the property to the buyer (you should have your funds within a couple of business days after that). If all goes well, and we’re not waiting on funding from the buyer to come through or some such thing, you’ll be in and out in under an hour.

Additionally, these are the things you’ll need to bring with you to the lawyers office:

*Driver’s License

*Keys and/or garage openers for the property

*Copy of repair bills (paid/unpaid), if applicable

And that’s it! Congratulations! You’re the proud recipient of some equity ideally, and are on your way to bigger and brighter things. It’s been a pleasure guiding you through this process, and if you have any more questions about real estate, please don’t hesitate to reach out! My contact information is below.

Tell your friends and family about me!

Until next time.
